For those afternoons where your brain feels mushy and foggy, but you don’t want to ruin your next day by drinking coffee too late in the day- ClariTea! As a very caffeine-sensitive person, this blend is my solution to an afternoon slump.
Tulsi is perfect for those times when you simply must push through. She’s uplifting and relaxing at the same time (which is how she helped me survive the first year of my son’s life). Tulsi improves the body's stress response, which supports cognition and decision-making. Tulsi is also rich in vitamin C and zinc and helps boost our immunity. She supports our brains by balancing serotonin and dopamine. Tulsi has been clinically shown to enhance concentration and focus.
Sage drives bloodflow to the brain, which is obviously very helpful for those times when your brain just feels flat and empty. Sage is wonderful for brain health in general, and has even been shown to improve memory. The word “sage” even means ‘wise’!
Spearmint boosts focus and memory, and lavender calms and relieves stress, which promotes clearer thinking. This blend also contains a small amount of green tea for a little perk-up that shouldn’t wreck your sleep, though I wouldn’t necessarily have a cup at bedtime!
This blend is best as a short infusion. Pour 8 oz boiling water over 1 TBSP tea and steep for 10-15 minutes before straining. Add a little honey for extra yum!
